So this is what has taken up my spare time for the past 3 days. KONG HEI, KONG HEI!

(And to my non-Cantonese therefore probably Mandarin speakers... GONG XI, GONG XI!)

Wishing you all luck and prosperity in this Water Dragon Year!

I always try to do something for Chinese New Year, but some years I get too busy around Jan/Feb to be able to. This time though, this composition and idea was kicking about in my head for a couple of weeks, and seeing as I'm back in Thailand and Malaysia over the Chinese New Year for the first time in AAAAaaaages on holiday, I thought I would have the perfect opportunity :3

So instead of a pretty girl, HAVE A PRETTY MAN. He is painting, but the water dragon comes alive :D :D :D

Done in Paint Tool Sai from start to finish. Um, took me a while over the past few days, but I used grisaille method (all the shading first, then colours).
